Commercial Water Temper Units - FAQ's

Posted by Heuch on Nov 10, 2016 11:46:01 AM

The Heuch commercial water temper units provide for accurate control of circulation temperatures of conditioning fluids through moulds, process rolls, jackets and processing equipment.

So how does it work?

It is designed to circulate fluid through your process and to precisely, automatically and reliably maintain this water at the selected temperature.

A relatively small volume of fluid rapidly recirculated by the unit, provides assurance of a close and uniform temperature relationship between the delivery and the return lines of the unit. This assures uniform and stable temperature control as well as an even temperature throughout the work area.

How do you regulate the water flow?

Balancing valves are located in the controlled circuits. Their primary function is to regulate water flow in each branch line of the system and provide connections for accurate commissioning measurements.

What about the temperature?

We regulate the temperate in the units with temperature gauges. The temperature gauges are located in all circuits and help monitor the desired circuit water temperature.

What kind of pumps do you use?

The pumps associated with the unit are vertical, single stage centrifugal of the non-self-priming type. They are fitted with standard motors and mechanical shaft seals. The pump motors themselves are totally enclosed, three phase, tow pole, fan cooled squirrel cage type that dimensionally complies with IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and DIN (German Institute for Standardisation - International) standards.

Why are they designed like a cabinet?

The Heuch commercial water temper units are attractively designed like a cabinet having solid sheet metal covers with flush fitting hinged doors. This is designed this way so the doors can be removed to provide full access for installation and servicing if required.

Does that make it easier for maintenance?

Yes it does! We have also incorporated drain valves on ring main supply and return lines. These valves are used to drain the unit and the process during initial start-up and maintenance.

Can the system be customised?

Yes of course! We can offer several custom options for your commercial water temper unit dependent upon your requirements. Some further customisations can include DDC (Direct Digital Control) or Panel View Control, resistance heating, temperature logging and modem service communications.

All of our units are factory tested here at our Melbourne factory which is fully supported by our in house engineering team. With dedicated HVAC and refrigeration service technicians available all year round, you can be assured or reliability and efficiency with local support.
