Refrigerant Migration: Dangerous But Preventable

Posted by Heuch on Jan 13, 2017 12:50:58 PM

A common cause of premature compressor failure is excessive migration of refrigerant vapor to the crankcase of the compressor during the off cycle. When this happens, refrigerant vapor can condense back into a liquid, mix with the oil, and dilute its lubricating properties. On start-up, the oil/liquid refrigerant mixture is then used to lubricate the bearing surfaces within the compressor. This mixture — being a poor lubricant — causes wearing of the bearing surfaces within the compressor.

Heuch Series Media Filters

Posted by Heuch on Dec 5, 2016 9:50:00 AM

Over the years we have installed numerous Heuch Series Media Filters in a variety of industries.

Heuch water filters are a permanent media type units specifically designed to clean industrial and process water. Our water filters have an automatic filtering and back washing operation. They are specifically designed for removing small particles from process water in by-pass and side stream low pressure system arrangements.

These filters are designed to remove particles of size down to 5 micron depending on the media used and the filtration and back washing rates applied. Further customisations can be installed to remove particles that are even smaller than 5 microns.
